We’ve started to make moves towards developing a new training and follow up structure.

After years of experience in training the coffee industry we feel one of the biggest issues with quality maintenance occurs much further down the line after our course has finished and the teams return to their shops to work.

We’re looking to develop a training routine that combines the best of our training with our knowledge and know-how of audit systems and techniques to offer a complete and comprehensive option of training and follow up schedules to help with the quality control of your product and service.

We know how staff turnover and bad habits can lessen the impact of delivering a quality product, so with periodical check ups by ourselves and our incredibly experienced team, we can help you maintain the level of service you require.

If this is a service that you think you could benefit from, get in touch and we can discuss it further

Paul recently worked with the folks over at Caffe Society/Brasilia on their Barista Challenge competition. We wanted to just say well done to Howard Barwick on his 1st place finish and to everyone else that entered. The standard was very high across the board! To read more on the day take a look at the site recently put on line at the brasilia coffee website

Paul put together a quiz that the entrants sat on the day. This quiz is currently on-line, so if you’d like to have a go and test your coffee know-how then head over to the questions.

So it’s back to our base in Huddersfield today after spending the last three days at the UKBC finals in glasgow, and what a finals it was. The standard throughout the semi-finals and into finals day was incredibly high and everyone was certainly deserving of their place there. Dave finished up 4th on the final day with Gwilym Davies finishing 1st, Maxine Beardsmore 2nd and Tristan Stephenson 3rd. Well done to everyone but of course we have to send out a special congratulations to Maxine who Paul had lent a helping hand to in her preparation for the championships.

Below is Dave’s set from the finals that earned him the 4th place. If you go over to viddler.com/explore/ukbc/videos you’ll be able to watch many of the other people’s sets from the whole three days.

Best of luck to Gwilym at the world finals in Atlanta!

We just got back and are winding down after Daves first appearance in the UKBC in which he came away with a 2nd place standing at the midlands heat. Along the way he managed to pick up best espresso and best signature drink so is obviously very happy! Congratulations to Maxine of Bottlekiln for her first place standing and also to Carl of Rotherham College for his third place. We’re feeling very happy as we helped prepare both Carl and Maxine! Lets hope we all we get through to the finals!!

The standard was incredibly high so well done to everyone who came out and delivered their great drinks.
